Private Shuttles by Salt River Rafting
Shuttles are included for all commercial trips booked with Salt River Rafting. The information on this page is for people who hold and have paid for permits from the White Mountain Apache Tribe and/or the Tonto National Forest to conduct their own PRIVATE river trip.

There is now a self-pay station at the put-in for tribal permits. If you want to purchase one in advance call the Fort Apache Indian Reservation at
928 338 4385.

Attention! The forest service parking area at the HWY 288 bridge (take out for the wilderness trip) has been experiencing vandalism and theft on a regular basis for several seasons. For this reason we have enacted a company policy to only shuttle vehicles on the day of our clients' take out. The vehicles will be there by 12 p.m. This increases the cost of doing the shuttle but we feel the peace of mind is worth it. Cars are kept at the put-in or second camp until the day you take out.

Just show up, if we have room on our bus we will give you a ride back to your car. If you want to pre-shuttle you will probably find a guide around looking to make a little extra cash. If it is Saturday in April and every guide is working, good luck!
